Focus on the Past
City Reflections film wins awards. The film recently received the City of Vancouver Heritage Award of Honour (the top category) and an Award of Merit from the British Columbia Histrorical Federation. The Canada Line gave a grant to assit in the production of the film and we are proud of it's success.

Construction Progress
The third of four Station Open Houses was held on Saturday, June 27th at Oakridge - 41st Station. It was a great success and thousands attended the event which was held in conjunction with Design for Diversity. Details of the fourth open house will be released shortly.
Community/ Events
Design for Diversity was held on Saturday, June 27th at Oakridge - 41st Station. The community came together to celebrate the completion of local Canada Line construction. It was a fantastic event and thousands of people attended and took part in the mosaic workshop.
Improving Local Neighbourhoods
As Canada Line construction is completed, we’re finishing our street work: that means paving roads and replacing sidewalks, replanting boulevards and medians, and restoring local and commuter traffic. At the same time, the Cities are undertaking extensive streetscape improvements: in Vancouver, on Cambie Street – particularly in the heart of Cambie Village – and downtown, on Granville Street. In Richmond, No. 3 Road is undergoing a complete facelift. You may still see construction in some of these areas as Canada Line completes our work for 2009 and the Cities prepare for 2010.
